I started wearing my baby when she was just a few months old, realizing later that I could have even started earlier than that. I believe that having her close to me often, high up near my face to observe and hear me, seeing the daily activities and constantly moving was a great way to keep her calm, alert, happy and where I can easily react to her needs. Explore some of these things to see if babywearing is right for your family.

My Favorite Wraps:
- Girasol-This is a brand of Guatemalan woven wrap that can be purchased from different place, but here's the main site:
- Mei Tei's-This is an Asian Style Carrier. There are many brands to choose from. BUT BY FAR THE BEST ONE I HAVE FOUND IS TOPA-TOP!! Tricky to order because she lives in Israel so communication takes a few days, but the absolute best product for the cheapest (in high quality price range; $150). https://www.etsy.com/shop/Topatopslings?ref=l2-shopheader-name
- You can find much cheaper ones, but I wouldn't go much lower than a $70 mei tai or they get uncomfortable.
- Dolcino-This is another brand name of woven wrap:
- Moby Wrap-This is a good one to start with for someone who is trying and learning about babywearing because it's comfortable and the price is right; but it will not last as long as a woven wrap because it is too stretchy with heavier babies.
- Ergo Buckle Carrier-As an athletic Trainer I like this brand of buckle carrier the best because it facilitates proper support of the hips and sacrum.

- Some other brands advertise being able to face the baby out, which is desirable for some, but there is some concern in this option:
- It is a hard habit to break, then when the baby is larger it will no longer be comfortable for mom or baby and hard to get baby to want to face back in.
- Also, it loads the spine more than if baby has "froggy" legs around your hips.

**Something to note about wraps and carriers
- Woven wraps are more expensive, but also much more versatile.
- Mei Tai's are, in my opinion, are the best option, they are more versatile than buckle carriers, but much easier to learn and quicker to use than woven wraps.
- Buckle carriers are quick, easy, often more appreciated by men, but take a lot of adjustments when switching between people.
My Favorite Way to Wrap:
- Back carry, in a Mei Tai Wrap conversion-quick, easy, comfortable.
- Double Hammock-This one is sturdy and comfortable!
- Strap Wrap-This one looks a little bizzare, but great for quick ups and downs and for a squirmy tot.
